Mechatronics Vision Inspection Learning Systems: 87-VS1S715

Amatrol’s Vision Inspection Learning Systems teach the use of web-based maintenance communications in a Smart Factory environment. These systems use a machine vision camera to examine parts traveling through the 870-series Mechatronics system and signal a PLC to reject or accept parts based on results from the examinations. The system can be used as a standalone product, but it is highly suggested for use with one or more Mechatronics carts.

The Smart Factory network communications training systems feature real-world equipment learners will encounter on the job, including configuring PC Vision Programming Software. The systems combine hands-on skills practice with in-depth multimedia curriculum for a well-rounded learning experience that will prepare learners to make an immediate impact in the technologically-advanced Smart Factory environments of the present and future through major topics like machine vision basics, machine vision operation, and machine vision software.

Learn Smart Factory Vision Inspection Using Industrial Components

Each Vision Inspection Training module features a Cognex Vision Camera with Integrated I/O, lighting, and Ethernet communication. The camera features 800 x 600 pixel resolution, and 256 gray levels, with a max frame acquisition of 102 frames per second. In addition, each camera is capable of auto-focus, a flexible mounting fixture, and has the ability to handshake with the Siemens S7-1500 PLC via discrete I/O and PROFINET.

Learn Industry-Applicable Smart Factory Vision Inspection Skills

With Amatrol’s comprehensive curriculum, students cover a wide variety of Vision Inspection skills. For example, learners will study the Machine Vision System, and the components that make it up. Additional skills and topics include various types of Vision Applications; connecting and verifying functionality of a Machine Vision camera; capturing, storing and displaying images; and tools used to detect pixel patterns.

Engaging, Highly-Interactive Multimedia

Amatrol’s curriculum features a highly-interactive, multimedia format that includes stunning 3D graphics and videos, voiceovers of all text, and interactive quizzes and exercises designed to appeal to learners with different learning styles. The combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills solidifies understanding and creates a strong basis for pursuing more advanced skills.

Mechatronics | Automation Systems

Modern industry utilizes complex production systems to produce high-quality, economical products for an ever demanding world. Amatrol’s Mechatronics training programs teach systems-level thinking and industrial automation skill-building that prepares learners to for mechatronics operation, hands-on PLC programming, and industrial maintenance and problem solving for real-world manufacturing environments. With the proliferation of automation technology, mechatronics is one of the fastest growing technical education programs in the world. Many technologies are integrated to make these sophisticated production systems including mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software. In order to meet this vital industry demand, Amatrol has developed both a large scale mechatronics line and a portable, tabletop mechatronics training system, each with highly interactive eLearning mechatronics courses. Each of these systems is comprised of individual stations that can be purchased separately when mechatronics training is necessary but budgets must be observed or all together to form a total learning experience. This training experience can apply to various careers such as mechatronics engineer / technician, automation engineer / technician, and systems engineer / technician.
