ALTERNATIVE ENERGY / GREEN ENERGY | SOLAR & WIND ENERGY LEARNING

Amatrol’s Green Technology training systems provide industry-relevant knowledge and skills in the rapidly expanding areas of Solar and Wind energy.

Let’s face it — the world we enjoy is changing every day. With threats of Global Warming and Green House Effects, creators of new technology are being pushed to come up with innovative ideas that do not damage the earth, or other natural resources. If done properly, these changes could potentially slow down Global Warming, do less harm to people, and drastically improve the health of our planet. The best way to continue this positive growth is through increased Green Technology training.

ALTERNATIVE ENERGY LEARNING SYSTEMS | HANDS-ON, JOB-READY SKILLS

Amatrol’s Solar and Wind hardware simulators, supported by interactive multimedia, provide the opportunity to gain industry-vetted skills in the classroom.

Solar and Wind Technicians require specialized training to ensure that installed systems operation to their optimal levels.  While these systems are similar to others that include electrical and fluid components, their installation, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures are unique and proper training is essential.

Gaining the knowledge and skills provided in these learning systems are a portion of Amatrol’s overall Green Energy Technology program that places the learner on the path to acquiring certifications related to green technologies.

Alternative Energy Learning System – Wind and Solar (850-AEC): Teaches students key skills needed for job success in small wind alternative energy and solar energy. Students will receive hands-on alternative energy training and skills they can use on the job. Also available using Sheathed Banana Leads (850-AECSL)

Alternative Energy Learning System – Solar (850-AES): Teaches aspiring solar technicians the knowledge and skills they need to prepare for portions of the solar certifications offered by such certifying groups as NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) and ETA (Electronics Technicians Association). Also available using Sheathed Banana Leads (850-AESSL)

SOLAR PV | HANDS-ON LEARNING SYSTEMS

Solar PV Installation Learning System (950-SPF1): Teaches students the installation and commissioning of grid interactive and stand-alone photovoltaic systems for commercial and residential applications. It also supports the learning necessary to prepare for portions of NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification and helps to prepare students for successful employment in the solar photovoltaic industry field.

Solar PV Troubleshooting Learning Systems (950-SPT1): Allows students to develop the specialized skills and knowledge needed for working with the common types of PV systems. The 950-SPT1 teaches students connection, operation, programming, and troubleshooting of AC/DC and grid-connected systems. Also available using Sheathed Banana Leads (950-SPT1SL)

SOLAR THERMAL | HANDS-ON LEARNING SYSTEMS

Solar Thermal Troubleshooting – Closed-Loop Learning System (950-STCL1): Allows learners to develop the specialized skills and knowledge needed for working with the two common types of thermal closed-loop systems: drainback and pressurized. Solar Thermal Troubleshooting teaches learners about connecting, operating, programming, and troubleshooting both drainback and pressurized systems. Also available using Sheathed Banana Leads (950-STCL1SL)

Solar Thermal Installation Learning System (950-STF1): Teaches students the installation and commissioning of closed loop and open loop solar thermal systems for commercial and residential applications. Students will learn how to install systems by selecting, preparing, mounting and connecting solar thermal components using copper tubing, PVC piping, and electrical wiring.

Solar Thermal Troubleshooting – Open-Loop Learning System (950-STOL1)Examines how to connect, operate, program, and troubleshoot open-loop solar thermal systems. The combination of in-depth, multimedia curriculum with real-world equipment gives learners hands-on experience with both drainback and pressurized open-loop solar thermal systems. Also available using Sheathed Banana Leads (950-STOL1SL)
