Amatrol’s Rigging 3 Learning System (95-RGB3) adds to the initial hands-on Rigging training course systems (950-RGB1 and 95-RGB2) by including hands-on wire mesh sling skills, rigging knots training, and rigging safety skills. This Rigging training system provides learners with additional components and skills to further expand their understanding and competency of rigging. Proper rigging techniques are vital for efficient movement of loads and workers safety.
This Rigging training system includes a rope system, D-shackle, steel tubing, a metal mesh sling, and much more! These components will be used to explore topics such as making a long, short, and eye splice in a fiber rope, describing the function of a tag line, and learning how to assemble and lift a load using a wire mesh sling. In addition to equipment and printed curriculum, this system offers a student reference guide, instructor’s manual, installation guide, and an optional online Rigging course in an eBook format.
Hands-On Rigging Skills with Wire Mesh Slings and Fiber Rope
This hands-on rigging training course allows learners to practice real-world skills with actual rigging equipment in order to build confidence and competency. This learning system includes 100 feet of #1 grade manila rope, 15 inches of wall square steel tubing, a D-shackle and eyebolt, metal mesh sling, wedge socket, and much more! Learners will use these components to develop skills such as calculating the safe working load of a fiber rope sling, using a tag line to control a load, seizing and cutting a wire rope, and tying knots like a double hitch, slip, bowline, and cat’s paw.
World-Class Rigging Curriculum and Optional Online Rigging Training Course
This system expands a learner’s rigging knowledge to include: fiber rope whipping and splicing, load turning, wire rope termination, and knots. As an example of the strong theoretical content in Amatrol’s curriculum, learners will study all aspects of load turning such as using two hoists to lift a load, describing the function of a spreader beam, and understanding how to perform both a 1-point and 2-point load turn.
The Rigging curriculum is optionally available in an eBook format for online learning. Amatrol’s eBooks look like a real book and allow users to flip between pages with ease. Enhanced with features such as keyword searches and zoom controls that enable a user to quickly locate and view information, these eBooks are a fantastic learning tool. Easy to use zoom controls make reading schematic diagrams and other technical charts and graphs a snap. In addition, thumbnails of the pages can be used to visually scan for the desired page and quickly jump directly to it.
Student Reference Guide
A sample copy of the Rigging 3 Student Reference Guide is also included with the system for your evaluation. Sourced from the system’s multimedia curriculum, the Student Reference Guide takes the entire series’ technical content contained in the learning objectives and combines them into one perfect-bound book. Student Reference Guides supplement this course by providing a condensed, inexpensive reference tool that learners will find invaluable once they finish their training making it the perfect course takeaway.
