Hands-On Rigging Training | Crane Operation Skills

Model Name: Rigging 2 Learning System

Model Number: 95-RGB2

Amatrol’s Rigging 2 Learning System (95-RGB2) adds to the first Rigging training system (950-RGB1) to offer a comprehensive learning experience, to teach rigging safety training and industrial crane operation skills, and to help learners prepare for certifications. This hands-on Rigging training system expands on the initial offering of rigging knowledge to include synthetic slings, equipment movement, and industrial cranes. Proper rigging techniques are vital for efficient movement of loads and workers safety.

This Rigging training system includes two synthetic slings, four load protection pads, jack, lever dolly, and much more! These components will be used to explore topics such as synthetic sling operation, equipment movement using roller bars and dollies, and crane operation signals. In addition to equipment and printed curriculum, this industrial system offers a student reference guide, instructor’s manual, installation guide, and an optional online rigging training course.

Prepare for Certification Using Real-World Rigging Equipment

Rigging training features real-world rigging equipment for hands-on skill building. This equipment includes four protection pads, two synthetic slings (2” W x 60” L), jack, lever dolly, pry bar, six crib beams, dolly, nylon rope, and crate assembly. Learners will use these components to develop skills such as lifting a load using synthetic slings and protection pads, using a jack to lift a load, properly supporting a load using crib blocks, and giving and identifying eleven crane hand signals.

Vital Rigging Skills and Concepts Throughout Amatrol’s Curriculum

The Rigging training curriculum expands a learner’s rigging knowledge to include the function of a tag line, how to limit a load and perform 1-point and 2-point turns. Additional topics include determining synthetic sling type given a sample or part number, describing the function of a jack in raising a load, and describing the construction of three types of overhead cranes. Optionally, this curriculum is available in an online rigging training course format that provides easy, quick navigation and searchable course content.

Gain Even More Rigging Skills with Rigging Training 3

Rigging Systems 3 (95-RGB3) further expands Amatrol’s offering of rigging knowledge by covering wire mesh slings, fiber rope, and load movement. Learners will study topics such as describing the construction of a wire mesh sling, learning how to whip a fiber rope, and five types of wire rope terminations. This learning system allows learners to practice hands-on skills like assembling and lifting a load using a wire mesh sling; making an eye splice in a fiber rope; performing a two-point load turn; and tying a slip knot.

Student Reference Guide

A sample copy of the Rigging 2 Student Reference Guide is also included with the system for your evaluation. Sourced from the system’s multimedia curriculum, the Student Reference Guide takes the entire series’ technical content contained in the learning objectives and combines them into one perfect-bound book. Student Reference Guides supplement this course by providing a condensed, inexpensive reference tool that learners will find invaluable once they finish their training making it the perfect course takeaway.
