Learning Topics

  • Injection Molding Operation
  • Material and Machine Safety
  • Molding Problems and Solutions
  • Inserts, Threads, and Multiple Part Molds
  • Integral Hinge

Tabletop Plastics Machine Delivers Real Results!

The injection molding trainer includes a temperature control system, 4 oz. shot material feed system with electro-pneumatic control, dual heater system, barrel and nozzle, safety enclosure, heavy-duty workstation, 8 ton clamping system, mold offset plates, set of injection starter molds, interactive curriculum for both theory and lab, and a teacher’s assessment guide. Learners will practice skills such as setting the temperature and pressure for a molding operation, mounting and aligning molds, operating an injection molding machine, troubleshooting molding operations, determining the runner and sprue diameter for a specific plastics mold, designing a plastics part and mold based on shrinkage and warpage considerations, using CAD/CAM with mold design, and multi-cavity mold design and operation.

Interactive Injection Molding eLearning Curriculum

Amatrol's injection molding training system for high school features interactive eLearning curriculum that integrates various types of learning methods to create an engaging, effective learning experience. Amatrol’s multimedia eLearning curriculum includes text with voiceovers, videos, 3D animations, pictures, and interactive activities, quizzes, and self-reviews. Specific injection molding topics covered include: basic to advanced injection molding operations; material & machine safety; injection mold sprues & runner systems; shrinkage & warpage; injection mold vents; threads & multiple part molds; and integral hinges. Within these topics, learners will study objectives like operating an injection molding machine; molding a part with an integral hinge; and using a multi-cavity mold to create parts.

Free Learning Management System (LMS)

Amatrol eLearning is easy-to-use for both students and instructors. Its web-based interface is simple to navigate and available on any WebGL-compatible Internet browser. Instructors love Amatrol eLearning for its simple, yet sophisticated Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS allows instructors to create custom courses, monitor student participation, track course progress, assess knowledge levels prior to a course, and test knowledge levels after completion. Learners appreciate the fact that they can start and stop as needed, moving through each Amatrol course at their own pace. If a self-review reveals that they didn’t understand a particular topic as well as they thought they did, they can revisit it before moving on.
