Camp Overview:
Robotics Engineering Summer Camp is a fun, hands-on program for high school students wanting to learn more about robotics. Using Amatrol’s interactive multimedia, participants will learn to program actual robots to perform pick-and-place operations, interface with conveyors, and make decisions based on sensor inputs. Students will also learn about engineering design, virtual robotics simulation software, go on a plant tour, and engage in discussions with working engineers and technologists.
Eligibility: Successful applicants for the camp should be rising 9th or 10th graders and have:
- Recommendation by the guidance counselor
- Grades of at least C in all subject areas
- Good school attendance
- Personal commitment to attend all sessions
- Transportation to and from camp
Camp Schedule:
June 16th - 27th, 2025, M-F
Session A, 8:30 am - 11:30 am for 2 weeks OR
Session B, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm for 2 weeks
Camp Location:
Amatrol East: 2400 Centennial Boulevard in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Camp Cost:
$40 per student participant (or FREE for children of Amatrol employees)
This $40 fee covers both weeks of camp, and each student will receive a Robotics Engineering Summer Camp T-shirt!
