Smart Factory Wireless Communications Learning System: 87-WLAB53A

This system is designed to teach wireless EtherNet/IP communications, in a Smart Factory setting. Learners will develop understanding of wireless access modules, and wireless remote client modules, among other wireless communication skills.

The Smart Factory network communications training systems feature real-world equipment learners will encounter on the job, including configuring an I/O-Link Master in a PLC project. The systems combine hands-on skills practice with in-depth multimedia curriculum for a well-rounded learning experience that will prepare learners to make an immediate impact in the technologically-advanced Smart Factory environments of the present and future.

Learning Topics

  • Function and Operation of Wireless Communication System
  • Operation of Wireless Communication System Components
  • Wireless Communication System Set-Up
  • Configure and Test a Wireless Communication System
  • PC to PLC Wireless Communication
  • Operation of PLC Programs
  • PLC Smart Factory Program Modification

Industrial Wireless Communication Training Features On-The-Job Components

Each Wireless Communication Training module comes with either an Allen-Bradley or Siemens wireless access point, as well as a key-plug memory module. The access points feature a radio, two R-SMA antenna connections, and integrated switches. The modules also come with a set of six antennas (detachable connection, omni-directional, radial rotation, 3/5 DBI, IP30, and 2.4/5 GHZ), and an Ethernet cable set.

Learn Industry-Applicable Wireless Communication Skills

With Amatrol’s comprehensive curriculum, students cover a wide variety of Wireless Communication skills. For example, learners will study the function and basic operation of a wireless communication system; configure and test a wireless communications system; and program and operate a PLC program that use a wireless communications system. Both modules, which can be self-directed or instructor-led, feature multiple lesson objectives, hands-on skill practice, and assessments following each lesson.

Engaging, Highly-Interactive Multimedia

Amatrol’s curriculum features a highly-interactive, multimedia format that includes stunning 3D graphics and videos, voiceovers of all text, and interactive quizzes and exercises designed to appeal to learners with different learning styles. The combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills solidifies understanding and creates a strong basis for pursuing more advanced skills.

Mechatronics | Automation Systems

Modern industry utilizes complex production systems to produce high-quality, economical products for an ever demanding world. Amatrol’s Mechatronics training programs teach systems-level thinking and industrial automation skill-building that prepares learners to for mechatronics operation, hands-on PLC programming, and industrial maintenance and problem solving for real-world manufacturing environments. With the proliferation of automation technology, mechatronics is one of the fastest growing technical education programs in the world. Many technologies are integrated to make these sophisticated production systems including mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software. In order to meet this vital industry demand, Amatrol has developed both a large scale mechatronics line and a portable, tabletop mechatronics training system, each with highly interactive eLearning mechatronics courses. Each of these systems is comprised of individual stations that can be purchased separately when mechatronics training is necessary but budgets must be observed or all together to form a total learning experience. This training experience can apply to various careers such as mechatronics engineer / technician, automation engineer / technician, and systems engineer / technician.
