Process Control – Level and Flow| Amatrol Summer Training

Instructor’s Course Overview: This course is for college, industry, vocational and university level instructors who teach basic concepts and skills of level and flow in process control. This course features hands-on familiarization with Amatrol’s T5552 Process Control training system and interactive multimedia curriculum. Students will learn the basics of level and flow control, open and closed loop control, as well as control loop calibration and tuning. Students will also observe demonstrations of process control trainers that teach temperature control, and analytical (pH) control.

Basic topics include process documentation (e.g. instrument tags, P&ID diagrams and instrument index), electronic loop controllers, final control elements, liquid level measurement and control, flow measurement and control, automatic control methods (proportional, integral and derivative), loop component calibration, and control loop tuning. Attendees will learn through a combination of individualized, hands-on learning with process control trainers and group instruction of concepts and principles.
