What is PanelView Plus?

Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus operator interface terminals are programmable operator stations that enable interaction between users and a PLC-controller system or process. They replace or complement traditional hardwired control panels by providing operator input, control, output, and alarm display of a machine or multiple machines. Typical PanelView Plus users include machine operators, maintenance technicians, and supervisory personnel.

PanelView Plus terminals run FactoryTalk View ME (Machine Edition) Station software, a stand-alone run-time environment for user-developed machine level and small process level applications. FactoryTalk View ME runs user-developed applications created with FactoryTalk View Studio development software. This hardware and software combination ties PLC inputs and outputs to graphics, text, and function keys displayed on the PanelView Plus terminal. This provides the user with the ability to control a machine or process, as well as view machine or process status, PLC I/O status, operational information, data table information, and alarm status.
