Amatrol to Showcase Industrial Technology Training Systems at ATX West

Amatrol will attend the ATX West Trade Show in Anaheim, California on February 5-7, 2019 to showcase eLearning, Learning Systems and Skill Boss

JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA – With thousands of industrial jobs available nationwide, employers are finding it difficult to fill these positions. While a historically-low unemployment rate plays a role, companies simply can’t find the qualified workers they need to maintain their output because employees don’t possess the necessary skills to succeed in an Industry 4.0 world.

However Amatrol, Inc. is changing that narrative.

For the first time in the company’s 54-year history, Amatrol will attend ATX West (Booth #4394) to showcase a selection of the company’s portable troubleshooting devices, the state-of-the-art Skill Boss, eLearning curriculum and eAssessment software.

Amatrol’s Portable Motor Control Troubleshooting (990-MC1F) learning system, an industrial training and troubleshooting device, features standard industry components and real-world motor control components to cover the operation, installation, and applications for electric relay control of AC motors. The system includes Amatrol’s FaultPro, the industry’s only electronic fault insertion system, which allows learners to insert faults in the system as they progress through industrial troubleshooting methods.

In addition to the 990-MC1F, another hands-on training system that Amatrol will showcase is its Skill Boss, a transformational teaching device. The Skill Boss is a classroom-friendly, PLC-controlled machine that performs a wide variety of functions aligned with the 55+ skills drawn from MSSC’s National Production Standards.

Paul Perkins, President of Amatrol, views the assessment device as a missing link between students and the career path they choose: “Colorful and multifaceted, Skill Boss will be more fun than a robot for many students, and will encourage them to enter a career pathway in advanced manufacturing.”

Along with its flexible and compact design, the Skill Boss offers hands-on training and assessment as an enhancement to MSSC’s signature CPT training and certification program. Thanks to interactive multimedia curriculum courses for each program, the machine allows users from any background to display competencies of foundational workplace skills for advanced manufacturing careers, which are necessary to be immediately productive on the job.

Together with its hands-on learning systems, Amatrol will also present eAssessment and eLearning products in an effort to help extend the reach of real industrial skill training.

Amatrol’s revolutionary eAssessment assesses industrial skills learned, and determines a learner’s skill level in specific areas. This focused learning prevents training overlap and dramatically improves training effectiveness and efficiency, as well as reduces training cost and time investment.

From there, Amatrol’s proven eLearning program offers flexible technical training that presents both content depth and breadth for improved learning and retention. In addition to 24/7 access to more than 400 courses, students have access to virtual simulators, which replicate hands-on equipment in such great detail that students will feel like they are using the actual equipment.

Amatrol, Inc. is the leading U.S. manufacturer of technical education equipment, and is a leading provider of world-class, computer simulation-based, interactive, multimedia eLearning. It has operations in all 50 states and in 45 countries abroad.
