Technical Training Curriculum Manager | Amatrol

Amatrol, the global leader in technical training, is seeking a Technical Training Curriculum Manager to head the market’s premier curriculum department. In addition to designing and manufacturing hands-on training systems, Amatrol writes and develops interactive eLearning curriculum used in high schools, colleges, universities, and industry, including many Fortune 500 companies. Amatrol’s curriculum is an irreplaceable component in developing the workforce of tomorrow and upskilling the workforce of today in a plethora of fields including manufacturing, oil and gas, logistics, and HVAC/R to name a few. This curriculum begins with foundational knowledge and skills and builds to advanced troubleshooting and Industry 4.0 technology, all of which utilized for degree and certification preparation.

This senior position will lead a staff of experienced curriculum developers and guide the design and development of multimedia courses used in all 50 states and over 60 countries. Your experience and expertise will be utilized to work independently to track projects, generate reports, and research new projects, as well as in collaborative efforts with staff, engineers, and publication teams in order to create a superior learning experience for our customers. You will be responsible for creating new courses based on emerging technologies like those in the Industrial Internet of Things, as well as keeping Amatrol’s current lineup of courses up-to-date as component changes on existing products necessitate curriculum changes. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized, have an excellent attention to detail, and possess outstanding communication and collaborative skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and edit interactive technical curriculum content that covers a broad spectrum of technologies
  • Manage a professional staff of technical curriculum developers
  • Collaborate with engineering and publication teams to create new products
  • Research new concepts and new topic areas as new projects are added
  • Track projects and generate reports as needed

Requirements:

  • 5 years community college or university level teaching experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline such as Automation, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science
  • 10 years of business experience
  • 8 years management experience
  • Excellent English editorial and written content development skills with complex technical content
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Master or Ph.D. in a technical or scientific discipline
  • Automation expertise
  • Instructional design background
  • Industrial experience
