Engineer - Training Systems Design Team

Are you a technical person who loves gadgets?
Do you like to explain how things work?
Are you the member of the family who programs the non-technical relatives’ electronic devices?

This may be the career challenge you’ve been seeking!

This position requires a person with a very unique skill set: technical literacy and ability, creative writing skills, desire to learn new concepts and ability to organize information.

Don’t let the title confuse you - Amatrol’s Curriculum Developers are the “Subject Matter Experts” of our company. They are technically-trained people who take a topic (such as small engines or welding), research it thoroughly and then explain the topic in simple terms and through learning activities.

You don’t need to be a curriculum expert, we’ve already developed a successful instructional design format for our materials. You also don’t need to be a desktop publisher, we have a talented department of folks who format our materials and create our graphics. What you do need are technical skills and the ability to organize complex technical information and break it down into simple, step-by-step skills.

The members of our curriculum department are the backbone of the product development process. Based on their research and customer needs, they work alongside our engineering department to design learning equipment for a real world technical experience.

We have three groups of Subject Matter Experts:

PLC - Programmable control devices and networks
Electronic/Electrical - Industrial electronic systems & controls
Mechanical - Mechanical, civil, chemical, thermal and other broad topics.

Currently we are seeking an individual to work in our Electronic/Electrical group.

We’re not looking for a person who is an expert in all areas—we’re seeking the appropriate degree and experience in a few functional areas, with the desire and capacity to learn and synthesize information about other technical subjects.

If you would like to have a lot of diversity in your work activities, like technical subjects as well as creative writing—we encourage you to apply!

Send resume to HR@amatrol.com and please put "Job Code WEC" in the subject line or use the following link:HR@amatrol. com.

We are seeking an individual with an engineering degree (ASMET, BSMET, or BSME). Industry experience in machine design and mechanical drive systems preferred, fluid power skills and strong computer skills with knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks are a major plus!

This may be the career challenge you’ve been seeking!

Amatrol is looking for a proofreader for our technical education materials. This position is responsible for correcting grammatical, typographical and compositional errors in our materials from draft to completed versions.

Our technical subject matter experts take complex information and break it down into simple, step-by-step skills for our learning programs. The proofreader corrects materials written by the subject matter experts, tracks document routing and ensures that the content is consistent in detail and according to our standard format. This position does not require a technical expert, however some degree of mechanical knowledge or technical literacy could be helpful.

We are seeking an individual with a BS or BA in English or Journalism or similar. Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and considerable knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation are required.

If you would love details and like for your work to have a direct and positive impact—we encourage you to apply!

This could be the career challenge for you!
