Sales and Marketing at Amatrol
Typical is just not a word used to describe career opportunities in sales and marketing at Amatrol. Regional sales managers get involved in virtually all aspects of the business including sales, technical explanation of our products, training, curriculum development, lab planning, new product design, distribution management, conventions, etc.
Regional sales managers must be able to understand Amatrol products and how they help our customers be successful. This requires a technical background, either through education or experience. Industrial sales experience is essential with some sales management experience being particularly helpful. Strong communication and listening skills coupled with a willingness to go where the action is (travel is required 60%) are key components of this position.
Regional sales managers work with a number of independent distributors all across the US as well as internationally to market and service Amatrol learning systems. Problem solving is a key element to being successful in this role. Amatrol's customers are frequently seeking a learning solution to help with a community based problem such as not enough skilled technicians to support local industry or too few high school students moving on to advanced study in technical areas. Regional sales managers help crystallize the need and identify solutions for success.
